One of the questions people often ask me is,
"How do you do that?" There's no mystery to how
to make a stained glass window. There are some good
books on the subject, and absolutely nothing substitutes
for a great teacher (mine was wonderful), but here's a
little insight into exactly how a stained glass window is
created. I hope you find it informative. The pictures may take a while to load, but they're really helpful, so please be patient. Step One: ![]() I create a pattern on my computer. I highly recommend using software called The Glass Eye. The design must take into account the difficulty of the cuts involved and the stress points on the glass. |
