Step Three:


After all the paper pattern pieces are cut out, I trace the outline of each piece directly onto the glass with a marking pen. I remove the paper pattern piece from the glass, and then I score the glass with a glass cutter. The glass cutter featured above is a Toyo brand, and is filled with a lubricating oil. The oil is critical to maintaining the cutter, and to a good glass score. Scoring glass takes a little bit of practice. This is where a good teacher is invaluable.
